As a member of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG), Newnan Utilities offers a unique electrical package that features reliable service, competitive rates and innovative ideas that you would not expect from a utility company. Through the MEAG partnership, Newnan Utilities has at its disposal a statewide generation and transmission corporation with ownership in four power plants in Georgia and a transmission system spanning the state.

Our customers benefit from both our municipal status and unique communications infrastructure. The same system which allows us to confirm that your power is being delivered also protects this city's people. Newnan Utilities' Control Room is online with the KAVOURIS Satellite, receiving data on approaching tornadoes and storm systems, functioning as a regional early warning system for climate-related emergencies.
